In BIO 3232, we were given two different bacteria that were unknown, and based off of the previous lab skills we learned during the course, we were to find which two bacteria they were. We were able to perform certain lab tests, and research on the different characteristics of the bacteria which helped us pinpoint the exact bacteria. 

After given a packet of information on a specific disease, we had to answer all questions thoroughly by researching the topic and becoming familiar with all information associated with the disease. After answering all questions, we presented this topic to the class to share our findings.

Streaking cells on the surface of the agar plate, dilutes cells so colonies can be formed, this is called the streak-plate technique. After learning the streak-plate technique, we were able to discuss in detail why it is used, and how it is used on selective and differential media.
